Plate Casters
Need some plate casters? Check our inventory under standard plate casters. Our light duty casters have load capacities up to 350 pounds with 3", 4", and 5" diameter wheels. With a variety of wheel materials offered, Access Casters can fit your needs. We have polyurethane, soft rubber, and thermoplastic elastomer. Our medium duty casters have load capacities up to 1200 lbs with 4", 5", 6", and 8" diameter wheels. We have polyurethane, phenolic, polyurethane on cast iron, and TPR wheel materials. All of our plate casters are rigid, swivels and swivel with brakes.
Looking for a heavy duty caster? Our online inventory has capacities up to 3000 lbs. These casters are made out of drop forged steel which is stronger than cast iron. The larger top plate provides stability and strength. The finish is corrosion resistant zinc plated. Having double welded legs, these casters resist bending. Using work-hardened and rolled-in processing, the double deep-grooved load and component thrust swivel raceways provide full swiveling operation under the maximum load without loss of function.
Many of our heavy duty casters use a face contact brake, which is one of the highest quality brakes used in the industry. The brakes are welded on to the frame of the casters which provides you security and comfort that your wheel will not move.
Choose from our options of rigid, swivel, or swivel with brakes. The wheel materials to choose from are rubber on cast iron, polyurethane, phenolic, or steel. All of the wheels have roller bearings in them which are an industrial bearing meant for longevity and durability.

Our selection of plate casters gives you many options to bring stability and ease of steering to any application. Our durable, long-lasting casters are now available with top plates, making them even more useful for more potential applications. Swiveling and moving around corners and turns is made much easier by the stability afforded when a plate caster is used. Plus, many of these casters are available with a brake that protects equipment from any undesired movement.
Plate casters are recommended for those who intend to keep the wheel on the same piece of equipment for a longer period of time, as a plate caster is more securely attached than a stem caster. These casters offer more stability for any application through the top mounting plate, which allows the caster to be secured to your equipment in four separate spots. The even distribution of weight through the caster plate facilitates even more steering accuracy when moving equipment, making fluttering a non-concern.
With wheels fashioned from soft rubber or polyurethane, these low profile casters will not leave markings on the floor surface no matter how heavy the load placed on them. For a lower height overall with a large load capacity, choose one of our dual wheel plate casters.
