The Blickle Way

Blickle is one of the quality manufacturers partnered with Access Casters to distribute phenomenal products. Access Casters sells Blickle items such as American Standard Casters, Metric Casters and Blickle Caster Wheels.

Among the many products manufactured by Blickle are high performing casters and wheels, such as polyurethane wheel casters, nylon wheels and elastic rubbers. These wheels specially engineered to provide the greatest functionality in “push/pull” forces. The Blickle swivel sections offer the tightest performance railway. Blickle engineers create swivel sections using a precision automated and robotic dynamic riveting process.

Background of the Blickle Brand

Headquartered in Rosenfeld, Germany, this family business was opened in 1953 by Heinrich Blickle, the son of an ironmongery factory owner. The business began with a focus on iron wheelbarrow wheels, then expanded to manufacturing swivel and fixed casters. From light duty wheels to rubber wheels and polyurethane wheel casters, the company now manufactures a wide range of products.

Blickle has become a global brand with 16 subsidiaries and representatives selling the company’s products in more than 120 countries. Employed throughout the world, there are more than 800 staff members working for Blickle.

As one of the leading suppliers of casters worldwide, the company is continually finding ways to improve the design and functionality of its products. The Blickle engineers operate under the motto “We innovate mobility.”

Blickle U.S.A. Moves Headquarters

Scott Chahalis, the president of Blickle U.S.A., has many years of experience working in wheel manufacturing. Prior to Blickle, he worked for Colson, a chair caster manufacturer. In October of 2016 Chahalis announced that the U.S. branch of the company plans to move its headquarters, according to the Newnan Times-Herald. In November of 2017 the company moves from Charlotte, N.C. to Newnan, GA.

The new headquarters are part of Coweta Industrial Park, which Blickle describes as an ideal place for finding technical machinists, welders and forklift drivers. Newnan and Coweta County are participating in an apprenticeship program modeled after German workforce programs. The program is called the Georgia Consortium for Advanced Technical Training.

The new, 55,000 square foot facility will include areas dedicated to manufacturing, engineering, laboratory operations and sales. Currently, Blickle U.S.A. is already leasing a distribution center in Newnan, where polyurethane wheel casters and other products are stored.
