Testing shows this wheel lasts more than 2X the life expectancy of the popular green epoxy resin wheel used in these applications. It also shows 2.9X higher resistance to abrasion compared to epoxy resin wheels.
1 Dynamic life comparative tests conducted to replicate field use in a Colson Group test facility. For one test cycle, products were heated to 475°F for 1 hour, allowed to cool to room temperature, and then durability tested with a 300 lb load for 320m. Product was then removed from test and inspected. If there were no wheel failures, the product test cycles were repeated until failure. Heatwave wheel did not fail during testing and after exceeding competitive product life by 2X cycles. Test for Heatwave wheels were ended after exceeding 180 cycles without failure. Testing at other facilities may vary due to equipment and flooring variables. Premium Colson Group rigs were used in all tests to ensure proper controls were in place. 2 Abrasion Resistance comparison test performed in accordance to ASTM D5963, and ISO 4649 in a Colson Group test facility. Samples of the same size of Epoxy and Heatwave wheels were tested, Epoxy resin measured 654 cubic centimeters of material loss. Heatwave wheel measured 225 cubic centimeters of material loss.
